For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with stomach problems that no doctor could ever quite solve. Years of trial and error-different diets, fasting, and eliminating foods, never brought lasting relief.
No matter hard I tried, I could never really give up the comfort and the warmth of the foods I grew up with in the South. The rich flavors, indulgent meals, the sense of home-it was something I just wasn't willing to let go of.
The love of southern cooking, combined with my desire to properly nourish my body, is what inspired this project.
Every recipe I create comes from this mindset: honoring the foods I love while making them nourishing, thoughtful, and easy to enjoy. I don't just simply swap out ingredients for the sake of calling something "vegan" or "gluten-free". Each choice is intentional-I spend time researching and testing ingredients that not only taste good, but are good and limit the amount of stress on the body.
